Retreat Refund Policy

As at February 2024. These terms and conditions are provided to ensure transparency and fairness for all retreat participants. Please take a few minutes to read them, prior to making your retreat booking.

If Momentum cancels or reschedules a retreat, participants will be given a full refund. Except where that cancellation or rescheduling is due to a pandemic or government restriction, then clause 4 below shall apply.

1. Day / Weekend Retreats within Western Australia

If a participant withdraws from a Day or Weekend Retreat and gives a minimum fourteen (14) days’ (prior to the starting date of the retreat) written notice by emailing info@momentumcoachyoga.com.au, a full refund will be given, less an administration fee of $20.

If a participant withdraws within a fourteen (14) days’ (prior to the starting date of the retreat) or does not give sufficient written notice, they will forfeit an entitlement to a refund.

If a participant withdraws from a Day or Weekend Retreat at any time, they may nominate a friend to take their place. The friend will be required to complete the Retreat Registration process, and payment will be transferred to secure their place.

2. Bali Retreats

If a participant withdraws from a retreat before the retreat commences for any reason, the deposit paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

If a participant withdraws from the retreat for any reason, and has already paid the full retreat fees, the following refund policy applies to the balance of the retreat fees (not the deposit): 

  • If the participant withdraws 30 days or more prior to the retreat commencement, they will receive the retreat fee balance minus an administration fee of $30. 
  • If the participant withdraws 22–29 days prior to the retreat commencement, they will receive 75% of the retreat fee balance.
  • If the participant withdraws 8–21 days prior to the retreat commencement, the student will receive 50% of the retreat fee balance. 
  • If the participant withdraws 1–7 days prior to the retreat commencement or withdraws after the retreat starts for any reason, the student will not receive any refund.

The balance of all retreat fees must reach Momentum by the specified date(s), before the retreat commences. If not, the student’s place may be offered to someone on the waiting list and the student will forfeit their deposit.

3. India Retreats

The first $500 paid in the retreat fees is considered to be a non-refundable deposit.

If a participant withdraws before the retreat commences for any reason, the deposit is non-refundable however may be transferred to another student. To transfer a deposit paid, the withdrawing student is responsible for finding a replacement and for emailing the email address and telephone number of the replacement person to Momentum at info@momentumcoachyoga.com.au.

Momentum is not responsible for finding a replacement participant should a participant withdraw.

If a participant withdraws from the retreat (for any reason), and has already paid the full fees, the following refund policy applies to the balance of the fees (not the $500 deposit):

  • If the participant withdraws 60 days or more prior to the retreat/pilgrimage commencement, they will receive the fee balance minus an administration fee of $30.
  • If the participant withdraws 30–60 days prior to the retreat/pilgrimage commencement, they will receive 75% of the fee balance.
  • If the participant withdraws 14–29 days prior to the retreat/pilgrimage commencement, they will receive 50% of the fee balance.
  • If the participant withdraws 1–13 days prior to the retreat/pilgrimage commencement or withdraws after the retreat/pilgrimage starts, they will not receive any refund.

The total cost of all retreat fees must reach Momentum by the specified date, before the retreat commences. If not, the participant’s place may be offered to someone on the waiting list and the participant will forfeit their deposit.

4. Retreat Cancellation Due to Pandemic and Government Restrictions

If a retreat has to be cancelled due to unexpected Government restrictions arising our of Covid19 or similar extraordinary circumstances, Momentum will notify participants via email and the retreat will be postponed and rescheduled at a future date.

All participant bookings will be re-allocated to the new retreat date. In the event that a participant cannot (or chooses not to) attend the rescheduled retreat date for any reason, they will receive a refund of 75% of the total retreat fees (includes deposit plus balance) paid.

Momentum bears no responsibility for Covid19 restrictions that may require participants to quarantine themselves for a period of time before or after a retreat, depending on travel restrictions between their home and the retreat destination. Participants should factor in the possibility of quarantining before making a retreat booking.
