Meditation Retreat ~ Living with Peace, Joy & Compassion

Friday 11 – Sunday 13 October | Bicton

Meditation Retreat Living with Peace, Joy & Compassion

Rediscover why connecting with your heart is essential for your wellbeing and transformation.

We each have the potential to live with wisdom, love and joy, beyond the limitations of a busy mind.

This non-residential retreat weekend facilitated by Natalie Snooke is a beautiful opportunity to dedicate time-out to nourish and cultivate the pure power of your heart.

Learn skills and practices to strengthen the inner peace, joy and compassion within yourself and to release the obstacles that get in the way with greater ease. Uplift your spirits in like-minded company. And positively transform the circumstances and relationships in your everyday life.

Is this meditation retreat for you?

So much of our stress and dissatisfaction in modern life arises because we live in increasingly disconnected, fearful and reactive ways. If you feel any of this, you are not alone.

By becoming skilfully present with the heart, you make a profound shift. Responsiveness replaces reactivity. Your actions at home and at work have greater impact. You tend to attract love and opportunities. Life becomes more of a flow than a struggle – and you awaken to your true Self.

This retreat is open to men and women (aged 18+) and is beginner-friendly! Complete beginners to meditation as well as those with prior meditation/yoga experience or other spiritual practice, are welcome. The only prerequisite is a willingness to learn and to be present.

If this resonates, then we’d love to have you along.

What to Expect

We will explore guided and silent meditation and mindfulness practices that stabilise the mind and heart, supported by reflective (and fun!) group activities that allow for practical learning and integration into daily life.

There will be a balance of formal guided practice, self-enquiry and quiet time in nature. The retreat also includes a delicious, nutritious supper, buffet lunches, chai and afternoon snacks – homemade and prepared with love! Dietary restrictions are catered for.

Benefits, Learning & Gifts

You will be gently encouraged and supported to honour yourself, and to participate as fully as you can:

  • Explore the Brahma Viharas, the ‘Four Faces of the Heart,’ and their immediate benefits – loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity;
  • Clarify and embody the difference between reaction and response, closing and opening, fear and love;
  • Practice authentic guided meditations and mindful movement, both with instructions and in silence;
  • Learn from the presence and guidance of an experienced teacher with a passion for meditation;
  • Begin or refresh a personal meditation practice with session recordings to take home;
  • Feel a sense of deeper connection and acceptance towards yourself; and
  • Receive a retreat gift pack with eye pillow and journal.

Our venue is the quiet ambience of St Christopher’s Memorial Hall, its tranquil gardens and the nearby bushland at Point Walter in Bicton. The hall has lovely light and offers warm, comfortable, spacious facilities. Chairs, sitting bolsters and other supports are all provided – you are welcome to bring your own meditation cushion or stool if you prefer.

There is easy street access and plenty of free onsite carparking.
